The RS Aero Cycle Challenge kicked off today with the RS Team setting out from Coningsby, Lincolnshire, on a 200-mile journey to Southampton International Boat Show. The team, towing an RS Aero boat in memory of a colleague, encountered varying weather conditions and challenges along the way.
Despite the rain and hail, the team covered 85 miles on the first day, receiving support from bystanders and enjoying a much-needed sports massage upon reaching their hotel in Bedford. Day two will feature a tough uphill route through the Chiltern Hills, requiring a full 12-hour day in the saddle.
Sponsors such as Hyde Sails and Seldén Mast have made the challenge possible, with donations going to Macmillan Cancer Support. Support the team’s fundraising efforts and follow their journey on the live tracker. Join the celebration at RS Sailing’s Southampton International Boat Show stand on Friday.
