The Kent School sailing Association hosted their annual 2024 regatta at Downs sailing Club on 14th September. The event saw 47 boats in the main fleet and 11 in the rookie fleet, with participants from 12 clubs across Kent. The day began with gentle winds that picked up in the afternoon, providing a perfect sailing experience under clear skies. The winners included Dan Hebditch, Sebastian Robb, and Joe Barton in the main fleet, and Kevin Geng, Eric Leeming, and Emma Peach in the rookie fleet. The event ended with the awarding of trophies and a celebration of the county team’s success at the National Schools sailing Association regatta. Food and refreshments were served efficiently throughout the day, with young sailors like Noah sharing their excitement for the thrilling races and new adventures on the water.
