2024 Asian Kiteboarding Championships Commence
The 2024 Kiteboarding Asian Championships will take place on the picturesque island of Daishan from September 17 to 22. The event will feature competition in Formula Kite, TwinTip:Racing, and Wingfoil Racing classes, with 95 athletes from six Asian countries participating. The favorites for the men’s Formula Kite title are Max Maeder of Singapore and Qibin Huang of China. The championships will debut a new racing format proposed for the 2028 Olympics, adding excitement to the competition. Despite challenges caused by Typhoon Bebinca, the event organizers are working hard to ensure the safety of all participants. The races will continue until Sunday, September 22, when new Asian Champions will be crowned.
