The Hartley Boats Streaker Inland Championships 2024 at Carsington sailing Club was a thrilling event with 35 boats competing in six races. Tom Gillard emerged as the champion, although the competition was fierce with close battles throughout.

Race 1 saw Archie Burton leading the fleet until a mishap with his toe straps forced him to retire. Martin Penty made a strong comeback to finish behind Tom Gillard, with Pete Gray in third. Alan Bishop and Lianne Therkelson also performed well in their respective fleets.

In Race 2, Tom Gillard dominated once again, while Sam McKay and Richard Hanby battled for top positions. Dave Borrett impressed with his consistent performance. Alan Bishop continued to lead the Silver Fleet, and Kieran Shrimpton led the Bronze Fleet.

The final day brought challenging conditions, with Sam McKay winning Race 4. Tom Gillard bounced back to win Race 5, while Martin Penty secured his overall position. The final race was a close battle, with Martin Penty clinching second place overall.

Overall winners included Tom Gillard, Martin Penty, Richard Hanby, Alan Bishop, and Kieran Shrimpton. The event was a success, thanks to the efforts of Carsington sailing Club and all volunteers. The Streaker fleet continues to grow, attracting new talent and increasing event attendance.
