The 2024 J/24 World Championship held in Seattle ended with an exciting showdown. Travis Odenbach and his crew on Honeybadger (USA 5325) claimed victory after a well-fought battle in the 56-boat fleet. Odenbach expressed his relief at finally achieving this win after many years of trying. The championship also saw Mike Ingham’s team on USA 5443 and Kohei Ichikawa’s Gekko Diana (JPN 5450) securing second and third place, respectively.

In the All-Female division, Elisabeth Hudson’s Two Shots (USA 2342) emerged victorious. In the Under-25 division, Sam Hopper’s Saltine (USA 62) performed impressively. The regatta featured nine races over five days, providing intense competition and strategic challenges for all participants.

The event showcased the best in one-design keelboat racing, with sailors praising the competitive field. While Seattle provided fantastic on-water conditions, the onshore experience was equally outstanding thanks to dedicated volunteers and sponsors. Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, the title sponsor, played a significant role in creating a memorable event.
