2024 Star World Championship hosted by San Diego Yacht Club

The 2024 Star World Championship at San Diego Yacht Club on Day 2 saw challenging conditions for the fleet. Despite multiple start attempts and shifting winds, local skipper Will Stout and crew Danny Cayard emerged victorious in Race Two. The pair navigated the fickle breeze to secure a comfortable lead and take the win. Eric Doyle and Payson Infelise followed closely behind, with Stout and Cayard now sitting in second overall. Doyle and Infelise lead the championship, but the competition remains fierce.

The race committee faced tough conditions, with wind shifts and varying directions making for difficult sailing. Some teams excelled, while others struggled to find the right gusts. Despite the challenges on the water, spirits remained high ashore at the San Diego Yacht Club. The championship is far from over, with more races to come and the opportunity for teams to improve their standings.
