INEOS Britannia Dominates Opening of Louis Vuitton Cup Semi-Final with Two Wins against Swiss



INEOS Britannia kicked off the Louis Vuitton Cup Semi-Final with two impressive wins against Alinghi Red Bull Racing. The British team, led by Ben Ainslie, dominated both races, securing a lead of over 1300m in each.

In the first race, INEOS Britannia showcased their downwind speed, overtaking Alinghi Red Bull Racing to finish with a significant lead. The second race saw a dramatic pre-start with penalties for Alinghi, allowing INEOS Britannia to extend their lead and secure another victory.

Team Principal Ben Ainslie commended his team’s performance and highlighted the continuous improvement in their boat. The crew, including co-helms Dylan Fletcher and Leigh McMillan, displayed solid sailing skills in challenging conditions.

In another race of the day, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli defeated New York Yacht Club American Magic in a thrilling battle for victory. The Italians managed to secure two wins against the Americans, showcasing their competitive edge.
