15th CIC Normandy Channel Race: A Demanding yet Summery Start

The 15th CIC Normandy Channel Race kicked off with a demanding yet summery start as 50 skippers set sail for the anniversary edition. The fleet of Class40s started in gentle conditions, making for a technical and demanding race. Local sailors Guillaume Pirouelle and Cédric Château took an early lead with their coastal knowledge. Axel Tréhin and Erwan Le Mené moved into second place, followed by Vincent Riou and Benoit Hantzperg. The Class40s will navigate the English Channel by night, facing challenges like current and shipping traffic. Tomorrow will bring a tricky passage through the Solent.
