Great start to the 2024-25 Season at Cronulla sailing Club
The short ocean series kicked off in light breeze, providing an exciting start to the season. Yachts that started at the pin end had an advantage as the breeze filled in from the northeast. Sea Hawk led the fleet around the waverider, with Let’s Go, White Noise, and Jazz Bar close behind. Spinnakers were hoisted as the yachts raced towards the Bombora mark, with Flash Dance making gains. Sea Hawk maintained its lead, followed by Let’s Go, and Flash Dance clinching third place.
All skippers and boats had a great time on the water, with Ambush, Knockabout, Tinto, and El Fildeldo securing top positions in their respective races.
The Estuary Series saw three J24s and a J97 race on a smaller, tighter course, adding to the excitement of the day.
In the cruising Short Course series, Seventy Seven, Endless Summer, and Odyssey battled it out, with Endless Summer taking first place.
Overall, a fantastic start to the season at Cronulla sailing Club with competitive racing and great camaraderie amongst sailors.
