The D-Zero Open at The Chase sailing Club took place on the 14th and 15th of September 2024, featuring seven competitive entries in a six-race series. The event showcased tight racing with only 4 points separating the top three competitors.
Saturday’s schedule included four races, with Alex Berry from The Chase sailing Club standing out with a stunning performance. Thomas Southwell from Lee-on-Solent sailing Club secured 2nd place overall, followed by Graham Flynn of Chase SC in 3rd.
After a day of intense racing, sailors enjoyed a fantastic evening of food and music. The following day, despite some sore heads from the night before, the fleet battled hard to secure final positions.
Alex Berry maintained his lead to finish 1st overall, with Thomas Southwell in 2nd and Graham Flynn in 3rd. The weekend was a success with excellent racing, hospitality, and a lively social atmosphere.
