Just like formula one, except for the pure speed, it's really boring to watch
I think Alinghi chose the wrong tactics. On leg 2, they should have continued to cover and actually match-race, because both boats are practically equally fast. Then tactics are crucial. I really wonder what was going through the minds of the helmsmens.
Alinghi RedBull Racing has nothing to show for. What a disappointment!
The boat is a lemon and the helmsmen are clearly out of their league.

what I don`t understand is (at 14:59 for example) the announcement: "This is the race committee we are moving the gate shifting the access to 170". Do they actually alter the race-course during the race? Why? And how would that be even possible since the buoys are permanently anchord to the seafloor. Can somebody explain that to me. It also happens quite a few times during the race. I`d love to know whats behind all that! Thanks in advance!
Alinghi are the poor man here. Similar to the French.
I think that first top mark rounding did the damage. Alinghi chose the left mark and gybed. Ineos took the right mark for a bear away and used their downwind speed advantage to take control. But then I've never raced a foiling monohull.
