The Sandberg Estates J/70 World Championship at Real Club Náutico de Palma has come to a thrilling conclusion, with American team “Yonder” emerging as the new world champions. Held from 13-22 September 2024, the event saw intense competition on the Bay of Palma, with “Yonder” maintaining their lead throughout the races to secure victory.

In the final race, British team “Brutus II” claimed victory, followed by Spaniard “Patakin” and Brazilian team “To Nessa.” Despite finishing eleventh in the last race, “Yonder” had built a significant lead over the second-placed team, ultimately winning the championship.

The podium also featured Brazilian team “Mindset” in second place and British team “Brutus II” in third. The event recognized winners in various categories, including Corinthian, One Pro, Youth, Women’s, Mixed divisions, and the first team with a woman at the helm.

In the Corinthian division, Uruguayan team “Plan B” emerged victorious, while Australian team “Vamos” topped the One Pro category. Local team “Balearia” won the Mixed division, and Dutch team “Moore DRV” claimed the Youth title.

The prize-giving ceremony marked the end of the event, celebrating the achievements of nearly one hundred teams from 25 nationalities. With support from sponsors and collaboration from various organizations, the Sandberg Estates J/70 World Championship was a resounding success.
