Sensational Sweden Dominates on Action-Packed Day 4 of the UniCredit Youth America’s Cup

It was a thrilling day of racing in Barcelona as the Invited Teams of the UniCredit Youth America’s Cup battled it out in challenging conditions. With five races completed in strong winds and big waves, the young sailors showed impressive skills and determination on the foiling AC40 yachts.

The Swedish Challenge team, powered by Artemis Technologies, put on a dominant performance, securing four race wins out of five. The duo of Oscar Engström and Ludvig Lindqvist displayed superb teamwork and consistency, setting them apart from the competition.

Despite strong competition from Andoo Team Australia, the Swedish team maintained their lead throughout the day. The Australians, led by Cole Tapper and Jack Ferguson, showcased tactical racecraft and impressive boatspeed, earning a well-deserved second place overall.

Local favorite SailTeam BCN also had a solid day on the water, consistently challenging for the podium. With two races left to complete, they are currently in third place and aiming for a spot in the semi-finals.

Tomorrow’s schedule includes a six-race showdown, with the first two races for Invited Teams followed by four races for the America’s Cup teams. It promises to be an exciting ‘Super Sunday’ as the next generation of sailing talent continues to shine in the UniCredit Youth America’s Cup.
