The ‘Bill the Milk’ Trophy 2024 for Marblehead Vane model boats at Fleetwood Model Yacht Club

Initially, 7 boats were registered for the event, but only 5 ended up participating in the races. The day saw some intense competition with sailors showcasing their skills on the water.

Peter Whiteside, the Marblehead Captain, set the course for the races, and the sailors battled it out in varying wind conditions. Each race presented its own challenges, with some boats struggling on the beats while others excelled on different legs.

Despite some mishaps and technical difficulties, the sailors persevered, and the competition remained fierce throughout the day. The event concluded with Tony Wilson emerging as the winner, with Peter Isles and John Sharman closely behind in joint second place.

Overall, it was a successful day of Vane racing with minimal breakages and great sportsmanship displayed by all participants. The focus now shifts to upcoming races, with more exciting sailing events on the horizon.
