The 13th Great North Asymmetric Challenge at Bassenthwaite sailing Club took place on 21-22 September 2024, attracting sixty-nine boats from various locations. The event was sponsored by Trident UK. The weather conditions were ideal, with sunny skies and a northeast breeze creating a thrilling race atmosphere.
The fleet was dominated by twenty-seven RS200s, with RS400s, RS Fevas, and Laser 2000s also participating. Notable additions to the event were three ISOs, showcasing the diversity of boats on the water. After a series of competitive races, Ollie Groves and Esther Parkhurst emerged as the champions in their RS200, with other class winners recognized for their impressive performances.
