The RS Aero Youth Team Racing European Championships are set to take place in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy from 25-27 October 2024. The event promises an exciting international competition against the backdrop of Cagliari’s stunning scenery and cultural richness.
Organized by the Italian sailing Federation, the Italian RS Aero Class, and the Sardinian RS Aero fleet, the competition will be held at the ideal venue of Cagliari waterfront “Su Siccu-Molo Ichnusa.” The mild weather in late October and the proximity of Cagliari International Airport make it convenient for participants.
Teams will consist of two sailors, one male and one female, under 25 years old. Racing will be in RS Aero 5 boats, focusing on precision sailing skills and tactics. The event schedule includes a preparation day on 24th October and official races from 25th to 27th October.
Accommodation, including meals and an RS Aero 5, will be provided for 2 athletes and 1 coach from 24th to 28th October. Single sailors can contact the organizers to be paired with another sailor for a combined nation entry. To encourage diversity, priority will be given to nations entering one team.
