The UK Nacra 15 National Championship took place at Weston sailing Club on 21-22 September 2024. The event saw close racing with teams battling it out for the top spot. Marcus King and Maddie Jinks secured the lead on the first day, with impressive performances from other teams as well.
On the second day, Eliza Pritchard and Will Boalch claimed a race win, but it was Marcus and Maddie who clinched the overall victory. The event concluded with an awards ceremony where Marcus and Maddie took first place, followed by Patrick Hill and Ffion Cerrato in second, and Will Boalch and Eliza Pritchard in third.
The competition was fierce, with tight standings across the fleet. The event was well organized by Weston SC, and plans were made for the future growth of the class. Joining the Nacra 15 class in the UK is now easier than ever, with opportunities for helms and crews to find partners and access to good used boats.
