The 30th Anniversary West Sussex Schools & youth sailing Association regatta took place at Shoreham sailing Club on 21-22 September 2024. Sponsored by Lagoon Watersports & Ocean Sports Board Riders, the event saw 10 teams with around 100 boats and 130 young competitors participating. Despite rainy weather, the dedicated SSC team, along with parent helpers, managed to get all the boats on the water for the races held on two different race courses. Prizes were presented by Shoreham SC’s own legend, Alan Warren, with special recognition given to the top teams. The event concluded with a successful awards ceremony. Additionally, a list of team results and overall rankings was provided. Special thanks were given to various organizations that supported the event, such as Shoreham Harbour, National Coastwatch Institution, and the RNLI. Photos from the event are available for viewing and ordering online.
