The Hansa UK Traveller Trophy Series Round 8 took place at Midland sailing Club on August 28th. Participants from all over the country gathered for this exciting event, with sunny skies and a light breeze creating perfect sailing conditions.
With 28 participants in 4 classes – Liberty, 303 Single, 303 Double, and 2.3 – the competition was fierce. Paul Phillips, Rory Mckinna, Rick and Sue Jillings, and Sophie Forbes emerged as the winners in their respective classes. The event also featured a special performance by junior sailors from Midland sailing Club, showcasing their determination and skill.
Awards were presented to the top performers, including beautifully crafted mugs and hand-painted pictures of sailing scenes. Beyond the prizes, the true reward was the camaraderie and joy of sailing with friends and fellow enthusiasts.
The success of this year’s event has us eagerly anticipating next year’s Hansa regatta at Midland sailing Club.
