Today’s race was very challenging due to weak and unstable winds, leading to its cancellation as the time limit expired. Even though Luna Rossa and INEOS Britannia engaged in multiple lead changes, neither boat could complete the course within the 45-minute time limit. The race was ultimately called off by the Race Committee.

Luna Rossa‘s crew, including Jimmy Spithill and Francesco Bruni, faced difficult conditions with winds barely reaching 4 to 5 knots. The match had to be cancelled as both AC75s struggled to sail in displacement mode. Despite their efforts, the Race Committee had no choice but to cancel the race due to the lack of wind.

The challenging conditions in Barcelona today tested the skills of the sailors, but ultimately the weather conditions did not allow for a completed race. Both teams will have to wait for better conditions to continue their competition in the Louis Vuitton Cup Final.
