Sixteen Challengers gathered at Rutland sailing Club for the 2024 UK Open Challenger Championship on Friday 27 September. The wind conditions delayed the racing, but sailors found ways to pass the time with quizzes and boat repairs.
By Saturday, the wind had improved, and the fleet enjoyed competitive racing with challenging wind shifts. Nick Bett and Graham Hall battled for the top spots throughout the races.
After six races, Graham Hall emerged as the new UK champion, with Nick Bett in second place and Richard Triffitt in third. Diana Faulks led the Silver fleet.
