RS200 SW Ugly Tour Event at Exe Sailing Club by West Country Boat Repairs



The West Country Boat Repairs RS200 SW Ugly Tour took place at Exe sailing Club on 28th September 2024. Fifteen RS200s competed in challenging conditions, with races testing their skills on the water.

Race 1 saw Duncan & Lorna Glen take an early lead, closely followed by Fred & Liz Mainwaring and Izzy Cramp & Stuart Jones. In Race 2, James Williams & Christophe Dormenval made a comeback with smart tactics, while Race 3 saw Fred & Liz Mainwaring leading the fleet.

The day ended with Duncan & Lorna Glen securing the overall win, followed by Fred & Liz Mainwaring and John Teague & Naomi Pound. The competition remains tight as the final event at Chew approaches, where teams will vie for the coveted Ugly mugs sponsored by West Country Boat Repairs.

The event was a success thanks to the race team, safety boats, and club staff. The next event at Chew promises more exciting racing as teams aim for the top spots in the tour standings.
