Applications and nominations are now open for the Kevin Burnham Memorial Grant and Award, established in memory of Kevin Burnham, a 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist and 1992 Olympic Silver Medalist. The deadline for grant applications and award nominations is October 31, 2024.
The grant is available to sailors aged 31 and under who show exceptional competitive sailing potential, enthusiasm, and compete in two-person Olympic class or Olympic Development class trapeze boats.
The award is presented annually to a competitor or team who embodies Kevin’s spirit through qualities such as passion, perseverance, sportsmanship, and love of the sport and competitors.
Previous recipients of the Kevin Burnham Memorial Award include Trevor Bornarth, Mark Ivey, and Leo Boucher.
