The Yacht Sales Co Sail Paradise regatta 2024 – Day 2
Day Two of the Yacht Sales Co Sail Paradise 2024 regatta on Australia‘s Gold Coast brought perfect sailing conditions for all divisions and competitors. With 30-degree temperatures and a 15-knot northwesterly breeze, the 40-strong fleet enjoyed thrilling racing on the waters off Narrowneck. Race 5 took IRC Division competitors on a scenic route hugging the beaches from the Q1 tower down to Snapper Rocks near Point Danger and Coolangatta.
Close competition marked Race 3 of the IRC Queensland yachting Championship, with some intense battles on the water. Unfortunately, GCCM’s ‘Arctic Blonde’ sustained significant damage in a collision with Stratacare Racing’s ‘Flyaway,’ forcing them to withdraw from the rest of the regatta.
