Andoo Team Australia achieved a crucial third place in the overall rankings of the six B Group teams after 4 races in varying conditions on their first day of the Puig Women’s America’s Cup racing. The team showed determination and sailing skills despite experiencing ups and downs during the races. Race management has brought forward the Group B second day of qualifying races due to weather forecasts, setting up a strong base for the team to build on. Other strong performances were seen from the Dutch, Spanish, and Swedish teams. Trimmer Lisa Darmanin and Skipper Olivia Price described the level of sailing as world class, with intense competition and every point counting. The team will compete again in the second and final day of the qualifying series on Monday, 7 October.
