Barcolana Parasailing kicks off with the first races and a panel on best practices in inclusiveness beginning today. More than 1,000 athletes participated in various sports disciplines over the weekend leading up to the main regatta on Sunday. The focus this week is on inclusivity, with the Barcolana Parasailing event organized for people with disabilities. The program includes regattas and demos for athletes to try sailing, promoting inclusiveness in the sport.

A conference on best practices is also scheduled, discussing inclusion, safety, and sports for people with disabilities. The Guardia di Finanza presented their boat “Nice” for the Barcolana race, showcasing their tradition in sailing. The Barcolana Foil Academy will introduce fast sailing classes with regattas dedicated to Wazsp, IQ Foil, and Wingfoil classes. Additionally, schools are participating in activities throughout the week, with ARPA FVG celebrating its 25th anniversary at the event.

The Barcolana event also highlights the deep connection between ARPA FVG and environmental elements like water and air. The agency provides essential support by offering live weather forecasts to all participants. Educational workshops, presentations, and daily weather forecasts are part of the activities lined up for visitors. The event aims to promote sailing to the general public and raise awareness about environmental protection initiatives.
