Flora Cup for Marblehead Vane boats at Fleetwood Model Yacht Club
On 5th October 2024, the Flora Cup took place for Marblehead Vane boats at Fleetwood Model Yacht Club. The day presented some challenges with a roadside wind direction, making it somewhat challenging for a few participants. Despite the conditions, five boats, comprising two Vintage and three Classic boats, took to the water with assistance from Peter G, Paul, and Stuart.
All boats faced various issues during the day, including a pirouette problem at the quarter mark on the return leg. Despite the challenges, participants enjoyed a dry day with plenty of sunshine and a timely finish. The Vintage boats emerged victorious on the day, with Peter Whiteside securing the top spot followed by Tony Wilson and Peter Isles.
