Barcolana56 is fast approaching with a lineup of Olympians and champions set to compete, along with over 1650 registered participants for the event happening on 4-13 October 2024.
A long list of renowned sailors and sports personalities, including Olympic medallists and champions from around the world, are gearing up for the challenge at the world’s largest regatta in Trieste. The event is expected to have good weather conditions and light winds for the competition on Sunday, 13 October.
Today featured the ‘Women in sailing by Generali and Barcolana’ event, promoting mixed sailing with teams battling it out in the Gulf. Other races like the Barcolana Maxi and Solaris Adriatic Cup took place, alongside sustainability initiatives like showcasing ‘Liquid Trees’ to reduce the event’s carbon footprint.
The Barcolana Sea Summit also offered insightful discussions on key topics like the blue economy, underwater economy, and wind economy, with esteemed speakers addressing crucial environmental issues. The event saw a mix of sailing competitions, sustainability efforts, and engaging discussions on the future of sailing and the environment.
