The Dutch JOOL Team emerged victorious at the 2024 German J/24 Open Championship held at the Berliner Yacht Club. The event took place from 11th to 13th October on Lake Wansee in Berlin. With favorable weather conditions, eighteen teams from Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden competed in a series of short and fast races over two days.
Frank Schonfeld’s JOOL team from The Netherlands clinched the title with a consistent performance, securing 21 points overall. The top German crew on HUNGRIGER WOLF finished in second place, followed by Stefan Karsunke’s SCHWERE JUNGS in third. The top Women’s Team honor was awarded to Maike Haas on JUELSSAND.
