Sejlklubben København Triumphs in Danish J/70 Sailing League – Act IV

Close racing has defined this year’s Danish J/70 Sailing League, with regattas often coming down to the final race. The high level of competition and tight points standings have kept excitement levels soaring, as showcased during the recent event held at Lemvig Sejlklub in Lemvig, Denmark.

Throughout this season, teams have navigated a range of conditions from storms to calm waters across various venues including Aarhus Bay, Helsingør, Marina Minde, and Lemvig. Yet, the competition at the top remained fierce.

Sejlklubben København emerged victorious in Lemvig, achieving a remarkable podium presence not seen in a while. Their exceptional performance included two 1st place finishes, seven 2nd place finishes, and three 3rd place finishes, totaling an impressive 25 points.

Following closely behind in silver was Thurø Sejlklub with a score of 27 points, while the Hellerup Sejlklub OY-STARS secured bronze with 30 points.

Danish J/70 Sailing League Series Updates

The current series leader is Team Faaborg Sejlklub with 19 points. Hot on their heels is Taarbæk Sejlklub, just one point behind at 20 points, and Hellerup Sejlklub in third place with 21 points. So far, four events have taken place across Aarhus, Helsingborg, Marina Minde, and Lemvig.
