The Swiss J/70 Sailing League series recently took center stage on the beautiful Davos Lake, located in the stunning mountain town of Davos, Switzerland. Known as the highest town in Europe at about 10,000 feet, Davos is celebrated for its diverse sports, leisure activities, and cultural offerings, including its rejuvenating climate, the HC Davos, the Spengler Cup, the Kirchner Museum, the World Economic Forum, and the renowned freestyle scene on Jakobshorn.

Eighteen teams from various regions of Switzerland participated in an exhilarating series of races challenged by the tricky and shifty southerly winds on the mountain lake.

The standout team, Circle de la Voile d’Estavayer, claimed victory with a total of 27 points. Skipper Thomas Studer led his crew, which included David Giovannini, Manuel Chablis, and Vincent Denervaud, to an impressive performance. Following closely in second place was the Segler-Vereinigung Thalwil team, finishing with 34 points. Their skipper Ben Tresky was supported by a talented crew consisting of Mara Bezel, Fiona Mudespacher, and Giulia Corbelli. The bronze medal was awarded to Segelclub Oberer Zurichsee from Zurich, who secured third place with 35 points, led by skipper Daniel Reitemeier and crew members Jana Hess, Roger Landoit, and Sandro Custer.
