Andoo Team Australia Unveils America’s Cup Skippers and Welcomes New Partnerships

Andoo Team Australia Announces America’s Cup Skippers and Welcomes New Sponsors

Andoo Team Australia has secured its title partner, Andoo, and is excited to announce new brand sponsorships for the Youth and Women’s America’s Cup campaigns. Myer has joined as a Platinum Partner, while ExpenseMe and Ray White Commercial (RWC) are now Gold Sponsors.

This year’s competitions mark a historic moment as they feature the inaugural Women’s America’s Cup and a Youth competition, bringing Australia back onto the global stage of this prestigious sailing event. Both events will take place in Barcelona, Spain, over the next two months.

The campaign has named its team skippers: Cole Tapper will lead the Australian squad in the Unicredit Youth America’s Cup, and Olympian Olivia Price has been appointed to head the team in the Puig Women’s America’s Cup.

Myer’s support as a Platinum sponsor underscores the significance of this elite and groundbreaking Women’s competition, which will see 12 nations compete.

ExpenseMe, an Australian-owned expense management software company, has founders with deep roots in sailing and the America’s Cup, making this partnership particularly meaningful.

RWC will provide expertise in fundraising for the team and will engage its agents with the elite athletes and leadership of Andoo Team Australia, including Patron John Bertrand, AO.

Sponsors gathered for a gala farewell event at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) in Sydney on August 30, celebrating the launch of this monumental campaign.

The Unicredit Youth America’s Cup kicks off in Barcelona on September 17, with Australia competing in Group 2 on September 18 aboard the impressive AC40 foiling yachts. The Puig Women’s America’s Cup will follow on October 5, with the Australian team entering the regatta on October 6 in Group 2, continuing through October 10, culminating in the final Match Race on October 13.

All races will be broadcasted on Fox Sports in Australia, coinciding with the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup racing series. This arrangement promises maximum exposure for this pivotal moment for women in sailing.
