2024 Finn Gold Cup at Sailing Aarhus – Day 2
31 August – 7 September 2024
All racing was abandoned on the second day of the Finn Gold Cup in Aarhus, with the only moisture coming from rain rather than the water.
The Bay of Aarhus was calm and mirror-like throughout the morning, accompanied by intermittent showers. With significant storm systems hovering over Denmark, racing was ultimately called off for the day.
There are 103 Finns from 20 nations competing in Aarhus for the prestigious 2024 Finn Gold Cup. Participants spent the day engaging in conversations, sharing ideas, making plans for the future, and enjoying camaraderie with fellow sailors.
The weather forecast for the upcoming days is promising, featuring moderate winds. The event is currently three races behind schedule, with plans to conduct three races on Thursday, starting at the earlier time of 11:00.
