Athena Pathway, the British team supported by Cobham-Ultra competing in the UniCredit Youth America’s Cup, has secured a spot in the Semi-Finals after a competitive battle on the race course in Barcelona.
The team qualified for the Semis after finishing in the top three of the six America’s Cup teams, behind Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli (ITA) and NYYC American Magic (USA). This achievement puts them one step closer to retaining the Youth America’s Cup, which Great Britain won in 2017.
Athena Pathway Co-Helm Nick Robins expressed his excitement for reaching the Semi-Finals and praised the team’s performance in the challenging races. The team is looking forward to the upcoming races and is determined to give their best on the water.
In the Semi-Finals, Athena Pathway will compete against Italy, USA, Sweden, Spain, and Australia. The Semi-Finals will begin on Tuesday, 24 September at 13:00 BST (14:00 CEST).
