Bacardi Cup U30 Program: Supporting the Next Generation of Star Class Sailors

Bacardi Cup is committed to nurturing young talent in the Star Class sailing community through its Bacardi Cup U30 Program 2025. Launched in 2023, this program aims to offer opportunities to talented young sailors to participate in the prestigious Bacardi Cup in Miami, USA. Selected teams from around the world receive complimentary entry to the regatta and financial assistance to cover event costs.

The program reflects Bacardi’s dedication to creating a diverse and inclusive environment for young athletes. By collaborating with the International Star Class, Bacardi aims to inspire and support young sailors in their racing endeavors. Since its inception, the program has enabled numerous teams from various countries to compete at the Bacardi Cup and provided additional financial support to the top U30 team to participate in the Star Class World Championship.

The 98th Bacardi Cup is scheduled to take place from March 2-8, 2025, at the Coral Reef Yacht Club in Miami. Known for its exciting racing and vibrant atmosphere, the regatta attracts a mix of sailing legends, World Champions, and aspiring sailors. The event offers not only thrilling competition but also Bacardi’s renowned hospitality against the backdrop of Miami’s warm spring weather.

The Bacardi Cup U30 Program aligns with the Star Education and Access (SEA) Program by Schoonmaker, which loans Star Class boats to facilitate entry into the class. This partnership aims to support experienced sailors transitioning to the Star Class or international teams participating in regattas in the USA.
