Bembridge Redwing & One-Design Racing Event on 21st & 22nd September
Bembridge sailing Club hosted Redwing & One-Design Racing on 21st & 22nd September 2024. The weekend was not initially planned for racing, but favorable tide times allowed for exciting competitions.
On Saturday, two Redwings and two One-Designs participated in the races. Sunday saw two Redwings competing. Races had various courses with different marks for the boats to navigate. The battles between the boats were closely fought, with skilful maneuvers determining the victors.
Despite a forecast for unfavorable weather on Sunday, the racing conditions turned out to be decent with a steady breeze and manageable sea conditions. The races were thrilling with close contests and strategic sailing tactics on display.
The upcoming weekend marks the final races of the season before the Illusions make a return from summer storage. Stay tuned for more exciting sailing action at Bembridge sailing Club.
