Cash Berzolla and Elena Moreno have been crowned as the new Wingfoil Wave World Champions at the GWA Wingfoil World Cup in Ibiraquera. Despite a shock elimination in the quarter-finals, Berzolla’s strong performance earlier in the season secured him the title. Moreno, on the other hand, had already secured enough points for the crown with two previous event wins.
“I feel amazing,” said Berzolla. “I couldn’t be happier and I’m stoked to take the win for the overall championship.” Moreno expressed her happiness at winning the world title in Ibiraquera, dedicating it to her family. The event is still ongoing, with an exciting competition for the win entering the final phase on Day 3.
