The 2024/2025 Audi Centre Sydney Blue Water Pointscore – Tollgate Islands Race, organized by the cruising Yacht Club of Australia, took place from 18-20 October 2024. Twenty-six boats of various sizes participated in the 260 nautical mile race. Despite lighter-than-forecast winds, larger yachts like Comanche, URM Group, Whisper, and Smuggler quickly took the lead. A storm cell brought challenging conditions, including thunder and lightning, but Comanche maintained its lead, ultimately finishing first in Line Honours and IRC and PHS handicap categories. Blue Planet, a double-handed entry, performed well in the race, showcasing impressive speed and handling. The next race in the series is the 82 nautical mile Bird Island Race.
