D-Zero Open Meeting at Grafham Water sailing Club
Fifteen D-Zeros participated in the Open Meeting at Grafham Water sailing Club on 29th September 2024. Despite challenging forecasted conditions, twelve boats took part in the event, including five visitors.
Racing took place on the same track as the club racing, with D-Zeros given the first start. The course configuration was trapezoid.
The day saw three exciting races with varying wind conditions. In the end, Mandy Horton emerged as the overall winner, showcasing consistent sailing throughout the day. John Aston secured second place, closely followed by Neil Washington in third.
The event was well-organized, with sailors enjoying the challenging conditions and competitive racing. The next meet for the D-Zeros is scheduled for the Inlands at Yorkshire Dales SC on the weekend of 12th/13th October.
