DF95 Autumn Series Event 1 at East Kent Radio sailing Club
A total of 13 boats participated in East Kent’s first Autumn Series event at Barton’s Point on 3 October 2024. The weather conditions were ideal, with a northeast force 3-4 wind, perfect for A rigs on flat water under blue skies and fluffy clouds.
Alan Hounsell set up a perfect course for all 15 races, with Jim LaRoche taking over starting and recording duties after an incident in the first race. Adrian Tomlinson claimed victory in the first race, followed by Mike Brand and Peter Jackson. The racing saw a mix of veterans and newcomers battling it out on the water.
The competition between the top three sailors was intense, with Adrian ultimately securing the event win. The final results were as follows:
