Dinghy Rescue Training with the RNLI at Andrew Simpson Centre, Portsmouth
Last week, ASC Portsmouth had the honor of training the crew from Portsmouth’s RNLI station in sailing and safe dinghy recovery. This partnership aims to provide opportunities for both the crew and young people involved.
The session included boat control basics and a capsize drill, allowing the crew to practice recovering a capsized dinghy in the water. Feedback from the crew was positive, highlighting the instructors’ knowledge and the engaging atmosphere.
As part of the partnership, the Portsmouth RNLI Station has invited young people from the Portsmouth Sail Training Trust for a tour of their life-saving fleet and fun activities. The partnership between ASC Portsmouth and RNLI promises exciting opportunities ahead.
