Solo Northern Series Open at Elton sailing Club
The final open of the season took place at Elton sailing Club over the weekend, featuring exciting races and challenging conditions. Local sailor Darren Nield and Andy Carter battled it out in the first race, with Nield clinching the win. The second race saw Stephen Denison leading until a capsizing mishap allowed Carter to take the victory. After a hearty lunch break, the fleet faced gusty winds in the third race, with Denison ultimately securing the lead.
Darren Nield emerged as the overall winner of the day, with Carter in second and Denison in third. Innes Armstrong claimed the title of the overall Solo Northern Series 2024 winner. The event concluded with a successful prize-giving ceremony, thanking sponsors and organizers for their support.
