The 2024 season at Overy Staithe sailing Club concluded with two days of exciting sailing on 21-22 September. The club saw a successful year with increased participation in races, especially from junior sailors.
On Saturday, the fleet competed for the Chris Geering Trophy under sunny skies and challenging tidal conditions. The top positions were secured by various boat classes, with Peter Turner claiming first place in the OK category.
The following day, the Trafalgar Trophy race took place in pleasant sailing conditions. Peter Turner once again emerged victorious, showcasing his sailing skills. The event marked the last race of the season for the club.
Looking ahead, Overy Staithe SC anticipates its annual prize-giving dinner in January and is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season.
