Exciting NSSA Singlehanded Team Racing at Burton Sailing Club

Burton Sailing Club, in collaboration with the National Schools Sailing Association (NSSA), is excited to announce the return of the Single-Handed Team Racing event at the beautiful Foremark Reservoir.

Following a successful event in 2022 with 22 participating teams, we are looking forward to welcoming even more teams this year. The NSSA Singlehanded Team Racing is a fantastic opportunity for sailors to showcase their skills, as the Topper boats are provided by the organizers, making it easy for teams to register and participate.

Team racing is a thrilling and social sailing format where participants collaborate to secure a win for their team against their competitors. Each race typically lasts about ten minutes, allowing teams to compete in multiple races throughout the weekend.

Racing kicks off early Saturday morning with a round-robin series and continues into Sunday with knockout rounds to determine the Overall Championship Team.

For accommodation, a variety of hotels are available in the nearby areas, including Derby and East Midlands Airport.

Catering services will be provided on both Saturday and Sunday, with a weekend meal deal available as the preferred option. While we strive to accommodate dietary needs, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
