Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez Day 4 delivered exciting downwind racing action for the Modern and Classic yachts in front of the Village des Voiles. With breezy conditions and dramatic downwind starts, the sailors navigated the W’ly wind gusts up to 20 knots, creating a spectacle on the racecourse.

The Classic yachts were confined to a 15-mile course while the Modern yachts raced on an 18-mile course. Despite the challenging conditions, the Modern yachts put on a show with downwind starts and exhilarating spinnaker action. In the Maxi fleet, My Song and Balthasar dueled for the Club 55 Paul Watson Maxi Yachts Cup, with Balthasar emerging victorious.

In the Classic fleet, acrobatics and intense competition marked the day, with battles on the racecourse and impressive performances by the participating boats. The Classic yacht races saw close finishes and exciting maneuvers, showcasing the skill and determination of the sailors.

The day concluded with the Club 55 Paul Watson Maxi Yachts Cup, where My Song and Balthasar shared the victory due to rating differences. The event highlighted the competitive spirit and camaraderie among the sailors, with plans for rule changes in the future to enhance fair competition.
