Hayling Island sailing Club recently hosted the Tide Ride event after a 15-year hiatus, attracting over 100 sailors and riders to participate. The event featured 3 fleets – 29ers, RS800s, and Wingfoilers – racing at the highest point of the tide. Races were efficiently managed with 50 races over 2 courses, including a medal race for each fleet. Spectators enjoyed the thrilling racing action and engaging commentary from Kuba and Noah. Generous sponsorship from Soak Insure and other companies added to the excitement, with prizes and spot prizes awarded to top performers. The event’s success was also attributed to a dedicated team of volunteers who ensured smooth operations. The club looks forward to hosting the event again next year, buoyed by the sunny weather and enthusiastic participation.
