Horning sailing Club recently held its Autumn Passage Race on October 19th, 2024, attracting 50 entrants and seeing 46 starters for a day of exciting Autumn sailing on the Broads. The race followed a course along the River Bure and River Thurne, with river cruisers dominating the fleet. The first dinghy to finish was Norfolk Punt Wildgoose, helmed by Charlie Stewart, claiming the overall victory on corrected time. Ladybird and Snowgoose followed closely behind to complete the top three positions. A total of 44 competitors finished the race within the 6-hour time limit. The event concluded with a delicious roast dinner at the clubhouse, making it a popular fixture in the Broads Calendar. Full race results can be found on the Horning sailing Club website.
