Hotel Excelsior claimed victory in the 11th Venice Hospitality Challenge, with Mitja Kosmina leading the charge. The 90-foot vessel dominated the race on the city course of the Serenissima, despite challenging wind conditions.

The event, part of the “Le Città in Festa” program, signifies the end of the sailing season in Venice. For the first time, ORC regulations were used to determine final rankings, ensuring a fair competition.

Winners in different categories included Hotel Excelsior in Maxi A regatta, Anywave Safilens in Maxi B regatta, and Forever in Maxi cruising. The Barcolana Venice Hospitality Trophy was awarded to the best-performing boat across two prestigious regattas.

Organized by the Yacht Club Venezia, the event received support from various partners and sponsors. The unique spectacle of elite sailing in Venice was lauded by officials, highlighting the city’s commitment to promoting quality tourism.

The success of the Venice Hospitality Challenge sets the stage for the upcoming Venice Boat Show, scheduled for 2025. Congratulations to all involved in making this eleventh edition a memorable event.
