Turkish shipyard AvA Yachts has recently turned the hull on its latest model, the Kando85 explorer, with delivery scheduled for summer 2025. Construction of the 25.7-metre yacht began in June 2024 at the yard’s facilities in Antalya, in collaboration with SRW yachting.
The Kando85, described as a “long-distance cruiser,” is being constructed in aluminum and steel ranging from eight to 10mm thick. It will feature an interior volume of 200GT arranged across a four-cabin configuration, including a master suite forward on the main deck.
“Atilla Küçükdiker, chairman and founder of AvA Yachts, expressed optimism about the interest in the Kando80 model, noting its appeal to both fully crewed operations and experienced individuals or families looking for a versatile yacht,” said Küçükdiker.
Powered by twin Volvo Penta D13MG 408 hp engines, the Kando85 is expected to reach a maximum speed of 11 knots, with a cruising speed of 10 knots providing a range of over 4000 nautical miles. The yacht is set to make its debut at the 2025 Cannes yachting Festival.
According to reports, AvA Yachts is also working on the construction of a Kando110 model as part of their explorer series.
