The fourth edition of the Ibiza JoySail superyacht regatta is set to return to Ibiza and Formentera between 18 and 21 September 2025, hosted by STP Shipyard Palma and Marina Ibiza. Last year’s event featured 18 superyachts competing in all five classes, with the largest yacht being 60 meters long.
According to Clive Walker, captain of Gelliceaux, the first day of racing had perfect Sailing conditions. Luis Doreste, tactician on Morgana, described the second day as even better with ideal wind conditions. Due to inclement weather on the third day, alternative activities were arranged for the crews on land.
Race director Nacho Postigo highlighted the event as a combination of on-water and on-land activities that received great feedback from participants. Winners of each category were Moat, Gelliceaux, Open Season, Bliss, and L’Hippocampe, with S/Y Maximus receiving the Perpetual Trophy for setting a record crossing time between Mallorca and Ibiza.
Registration for the 2025 event will open in January, with limited spaces available on an invitation-only basis.
